Frank Ordoñez of the Post-Standard snapped this photo of Daryl Gross on two cell phones during the game against Northwestern Saturday. This incident has brought speculation throughout Orange Nation as to who Daryl might have been talking with.
Syracuse.com put the picture up as their "Write your own Caption" feature.
As mentioned before, Orange Fizz thinks he was talking to Skip Holtz, and The Orange Squeeze preemptively agrees.
My guess is that he was trying to lock Idaho into a 10-year series.

You've got it all wrong.
One of two scenarios here.
Either:
1. Tony Scott is now using Gross as a middle man conduit to place free phone calls....
OR
2. He's called himself because no one else will talk to him. And even if it's the chanellor calling about his job...he's busy on two phones and can't answer.
Clever man that Daryl Gross.
I actually don't see a cellphone. Maybe he just has his fingers in his ears so when he is told he is fired he won't hear it.
