Get Gross Out

Dedicated to the removal of Daryl Gross as Athletic Director of Syracuse University. We have experienced enough pain with Syracuse Athletics under his guidance. The time for change is now!

Syracuse Athletics Babe of the Week

Emily Kaier is a Senior on the Volleyball squad. Apparently we have a penchant for Volleyball players in the SABOTW. Emily was recently the topic of a segment on SUAthletics.com called "Off the Court" where she answered some questions that we were all wondering. For instance, Paul Walker of Varsity Blues fame happens to be the person she would most like to have dinner with. Sorry Danny, try harder next time. Emily was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll the past three seasons as well as being Big East Academic All Star each year. She also has some hops, setting the record for high jump at Oswego High School (5'6"). Emily is majoring in psychology and forensic science.

Syracuse Atheletics Babe of the Week

Brittany Kern is a Senior on the Volleyball team. Brittany led the team with a .348 attack percentage which was good for third best all-time. She has been on the Big East Academic All-Star list each year with the Orange and has also been listed on the Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll every year. She is a Biology Major from Indianapolis. Congrats to Brittany, our Syracuse Athletics Babe of the Week!

Women's Basketball Helps Provide a Winning Week

I'm sure that DOCTOR Daryl Gross was breathing a sigh of relief when the Women's Basketball team rallied in the second half of their game against Coppin State to close out with a 69-65 victory on Saturday. The win ensured that the Orange would go 4-3 this week and would raise the overall record of the Women's Basketball program under DOCTOR Gross.

With their loss on Friday in the Big East tournament against Louisville, the Volleyball program finished their season.

For the Football program, Gross only has one more dismal week to sit through before we lean the fate of Greg Robinson. Analysis from Hartford Courant writer Desmond Connor, a twenty year Syracuse resident, is that Robinson should stay while the Axeman provides us with his Memo/Open-letter to DOCTOR Gross regarding Greg Robinson.

  • Football: 0-1 (.000)

  • Men's Basketball: 3-0 (1.000)

  • Women's Basketball: 1-1 (.500)

  • Volleyball: 0-1 (.000)

  • Total: 4-3 (.571)

Losing Week for SU Sports

Every Monday, I will be giving you the record for the Athletic Programs for the prior week. This update is for the past 11 days since I last gave an update:

Football: 0-2 (.000)
Men's Soccer: 0-1 (.000)
Field Hockey: 0-1 (.000)
Volleyball: 3-2 (.600)

Total: 3-6 (.333)

With Daryl Gross at the helm of Syracuse Athletics, we start off our weekly outlook with a losing record. I'm sure that DOCTOR Gross is really excited that basketball starts tonight and that some of the other sports are ending their Fall seasons. The major hope for Gross is that the Women's Basketball team can improve over last year otherwise the wins that the Men's team should provide could be a moot point.
